At yesterday’s BlackBerry 10 event, RIM (or now just BlackBerry after the RIM name has been dropped) announced their new flagship models for BB10. The Z10, the first all touchscreen device with the new BlackBerry 10 operating system. And the Q10, for the legacy BlackBerry heads who still love a physical QWERTY keyboard.

The Z10 features a 4.2″ touchscreen LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 (356 ppi). It is powered by a 1.5 Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 2GB of RAM. It also has 16GB of internal storage, but it includes a microSD card slot for more expansion. Around the back is a 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080P video recording. On the front there’s a 2MP camera with HD video capture for use along the likes of Skype and BBM Video calling.

It will support LTE and NFC. On the sides there are microUSB and microHDMI ports. The Z10 will be released in the U.K.starting Jan 31st, Canada on Feb 5th, but for the US it won’t come to carriers until at least March. Pricing is said to be right in the $150-$200 range.

BlackBerry Q10

The Q10 brings the classic BlackBerry flavor to BB10 with its iconic QWERTY keyboard. Think of it as an updated Bold 9900/9930 with a bigger screen. The Q10 has a 3.1″ touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 720 (328 ppi). Under the hood it’s similar to the Z10, with the 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. No official word on the internal storage, but it will also have a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB cards. And the same 8MP camera with 1080p video recording. It will support LTE and NFC. The Q10 is currently reported to be released sometime in April after the Z10.
